From the outside it appears as a take on how students of all different backgrounds share differences in privilege, giving the vibe of a very personal and potentially controversial message; who we are and where we are from affects our education. It can come across as preachy due to the nature of its content in having a focus on acknowledgement over application. This is not to say application of certain measures to alleviate the issues of racial inequality is not necessary, more so not as highlighted as the first step to solving an issue, realizing it exists. 2.
